4/4 may own his heart but Kid Enigma owns this new release by Dirty Sole on Doin’ Work Records. Who did what to which is a bit over my head but the team together has made a great record. Kid Enigma half-raps/half-sings and a little chanting helps shuffle this along. It’s actually a pretty bit of songwriting here – the hooks are lethal within 100 meters of any right speaker blasting this bad baby out. Trashy synths gallop alongside a bouncy 303 and together it all feels just so right on.
Lil Mark’s remix isolates the vocal and both this one and the chill remix by Natural Rhythm bring the noice.
