It seems like Bryan Bai-ee has released more Chicago House records since he moved to the Bay Area than many Chicago label owners that ain’t gone anywhere. Following up on the uplifting “How Deep” with Johnny Fiasco, Bai-ee has given a lift to Chicago’s Ed Nine with the forthcoming Heavy House EP on audioJazz Records.
The EP is a split 12″ (clips from the four tracks are smashed together in the stream) featuring two from Ed Nine and two from Bai-ee. Ed’s tracks included the minimized funk of “Nothing Technical” and the warehouse acid stomp of “33.” Bryan’s trend deeper, especially with ecstatic “Palease.”
Heavy House will be released on 12″ black wax this month via Crosstalk.
