Let’s cover a classic: the Klein + MBO cover of Dirty Talk by I-Robots, NOIA’s Alessandro and Davide Piatto and legendary vocalist Donna McGhee gets an extra pack of mixes.

If dance music were a book, one of the most crucial chapters in which a dozen plot points were established would be dedicated to “Dirty Talk,” the 1982 single from Klein + MBO’s debut LP. Here you had most of the elements that would make up House Music, gathered up half a world away and distorted through the filter of the emerging Italo Disco sound.

People lost their damn minds. Still do. It’s become one of the few tracks that could show up in a set recorded at almost any time, by almost any DJ, known for playing almost any type of dance music at almost any city in the world.

That Klein + MBO blueprint of the future, “Dirty Talk” is subject of Italian DJ/producer I-Robots’ latest filial reconstruction of Dance Music history that brings together several giants of the underground. A cover released several months ago was produced by I-Robots in collaboration with the Piatto brothers from seminal Italian underground provocateurs N.O.I.A., Virgo Four and vocalist Donna McGhee, known for the impossibly soulful 1978 Patrick Adams/Greg Carmichael produced LP Make It Last Forever.

After the initial release in the spring, the gang has come together for another set of mixes, including an acapella, dub and mixes by and Radio Slave. The new mixes are November on vinyl and a digital Xmas release.
