A freebee: the opening “phone conversation” from this incredible song is the answer to the question so many of you that have asked: “What WAS that sexy accapella you played?” While I primarily play that portion of the song separately from the rest, it will only take one to three bars of music to hook you into the absolutely correctly titled “The Drive.”

This is just one of several outstanding tracks from Kerri’s pseudonym produced The Dick Dickler EP. The virtually impossible to find today vinyl release was wrapped in a brown-paper bag, presumably to ensure the sexy beats and words contained within remained exclusive to those who could handle it.

As with so many of Kerri’s productions, an incessant “driving” beat is not the whole story by any means as the complexity and layers of keys, drum fills, and synths DRIVE you to dance… and more. What I also love about this one is that there are vocals including a great call and response by Kerri and an unnamed female singer. When you add on a drop-down break with breathing so thick and Kerri’s plead to “pick up the pace baby…” there will be requests for a bucket & mop… on the dance floor or in the bedroom to be sure!
