Retail Media Mail rates for packages shipped in the United States are going up by 5% in January 2024 following new pricing guidelines from the US Postal Service.
Media Mail is commonly used for shipping books, magazines and records and the like. An increase affects record sellers and buyers in the United States.
According to the latest chart published by USPS, the cost of shipping a one pound or less large envelope or parcel has increased from $3.92 to $4.13. Two pound packages went from $4.67 to $4.87; three pounds from $5.42 to $5.61.

The change went into effect on January 21, 2024.
Increases in shipping rates across the world have been taking a toll on record stores and labels that deal directly with customers and record buyers as well, who in many circumstances dealing with shipping rates equal to or exceeding the cost of the merchandise.
