The word is out: we’re holding the first 5 Mag show in more than two years with Tony Humphries at Smartbar.
It’s been a minute since we’ve hosted a show and we’ve missed doing it. But we are thrilled to welcome house music pioneer Tony Humphries to SmartBar this Saturday, December 4, 2021 alongside Gramaphone Records‘ Michael Serafini and 5 Mag‘s Czboogie.
Tony Humphries is one of those artists you introduce by saying they need no introduction. He’s packed about five careers worth of work and beautiful creativity in the last four decades behind the decks: as a radio DJ at KISS FM / HOT 97, as resident DJ at one of the seminal house music hotspots, Zanzibar, pioneer of the Jersey / Garage sound and in 1998 founder of Yellorange, regarded by anyone sensible as one of the greatest house music record labels of all time.
We’re thrilled to spend a night at Chicago’s legendary SmartBar with one of the Kings of House, and welcome all old friends and new ones.
