Maarten from Detroit Swindle took to social media today to advise us that his Detroit Swindle partner, Lars Dales, has been in a motorcycle accident in Amsterdam.
The crash required “extensive surgery” from “two broken jaws and a broken palate, according to the post.
“It is with heavy heart that we have to tell all of you that Lars has suffered a motorcycle accident in Amsterdam. Lars is currently at home after having had extensive surgery as he’s sustained two broken jaws and a broken palatum. The coming weeks will be about recovery from the accident and gaining his strength again. We’ve heard he’s already making jokes, which sounds like he’s still very much the Lars we all know and love. All upcoming dj shows will go on as planned with me representing Detroit Swindle and we are in touch with all promoters involved. We wish Lars lots of love & of course a speedy recovery and we will inform everyone when he does. Any messages for him are obviously very welcome and we’ll make sure he gets to read them as soon as possible.

Detroit Swindle is scheduled to play at Smartbar in Chicago on June 7, and apparently this is a confirmation that the show will go on with Maarten alone for this and all other scheduled DJ dates.
