NAMM 2021 Show Cancelled

We’re now seeing mass events into 2021 being cancelled in response to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis in the United States.

The annual National Association of Music Merchants, or NAMM Show, was scheduled to take place in January 2021 but has now been officially cancelled.

Like many events, NAMM 2021 will now be held as a “virtual” event, though part of the appeal of the show is the showcase of new gear and products which really do benefit from a hands-on experience, which is now prohibitive under social distancing guidelines.

NAMM’s virtual show will be called “Believe In Music Week” featuring educational programming, a marketplace and fundraising “to unify and support the people who bring music to the world.”

“Believe In Music week will use new, intuitive technology to connect us all to harness the incredible energy that happens when we come together,” NAMM president and CEO Joe Lamond said in a release.

NAMM has held their annual show in Anaheim, California since 1976. The official site for Believe In Music Week is at believeinmusic.tv.
