Four years ago the legendary Hugh Masekela helped launch In My City, the latest album from an artist whose career has been characterized by brilliant collaborations on epochal LPs.

Now Ralf GUM is preparing the release of Progressions, the German-born South Africa resident’s fourth studio album.

Progressions sees the return of some of Ralf Gum’s “standard players,” including Kafele, Portia Monique, Monique Bingham and GOGO Music alumni Joseph Junior and Ayanda Jiya. Other featured artists include the legendary Lady Alma, Paul Randolph and Tony Momrelle.

GUM will be touring the album across South Africa in March and April, in Europe from April 26 to May 4 with further dates in North America and the UK.
