Sasha Last Night On Earth

So sad it’s digital,” says some dude on discogs. He’s talking about Sasha’s Last Night On Earth imprint, founded in 2011 and with a catalog that includes a huge number of classic tracks and future classics that leapt ahead of their time.

But cheer up, Record Guy: Sasha has announced a quirky new vinyl series for Last Night On Earth. Called the LNOE Vinyl Archive series, it’s a limited run of wax which will highlight both “pivotal cuts” from the back catalog and “fresh upcoming tracks”:

“The idea came to me when I saw the success of the LNOE100 Compilation. Demand was so huge, we had to do a re-press of the vinyl. It seemed like a great way to give new life to classic tracks from the back catalogue in a different format.”

Each edition will feature three back catalog tracks (a recent one, a “stand-out hit” and what might be called “deep catalog”) and a forthcoming release.

LNOE Vinyl Archives vol 1 drops on September 13 and features Sasha & La Fleur’s “Förbindelse,” “Babel” from Fur Coat, “Canyons” from Hunter/Game and Jon Da Silva and Jozef K’s “Maresme (Da Silva Mix).” (Jozef K is featured in profile by Harold Heath in the latest issue of 5 Mag, btw.)
