Cellaroot album art

A new label worth watching from Belgium, Cellaroot is an imprint coalescing around a “minimal and microhouse music” style.

The debut EP is a V/A featuring three artists and a remixer. Label Manager Stereoform’s “Pleine Lune” leads off with warmth and beauty, evoking late moonrises and beats that bounce off the backbone of night. Octave takes it apart on his remix with a bassline that veers off into all kinds of interesting directions.

Also of note on the b-side is the sophisticated robot funk of Enivrèz Vous “Karlek” and the exceptionally strange piano-based atmospheric electronica of “Pian de Toamna” by Flav.

Cellaroot’s CRLTD001 V/A EP is out now on vinyl-only from deejay.de.
