Gorgeous deep house veering into the soulful domain on Anthony Nicholson’s new EP for Jitwam’s The Jazz Diaries label.

“DirtyDiscoJazzFunk” is something of a misnomer — there’s nothing dirty here in the way you might be thinking and in the way you might expect. In fact, Nicholson is legendary for his clean productions and fastidious arrangements. But the track showcases a phenomenal virtuoso solo on the Rhodes that just keeps rolling and rolling. I’ve always been upfront about my love of jam tracks and this one is up there with the best of them:

DirtDiscoJazzFunk backed by “Future Black Fusion” is out March 26 from The Jazz Diaries. Preorder from Bandcamp or vinyl from Juno.
