I’ve missed a few releases from this Chicago label but I don’t think anything could have held me back from this one. Enthusiasm? Try lust: two tracks of lustrous, melodic techno (or techy house if you swing that way) is easier said than done, particularly when the creator can really fashion a moving track for the hips as well as the head. “Last Time Out” is the more driving and urgent of the two; one listen and a week later I was still beating it out with my fingertips. “Midnight Run” is more abstract to my mind, though I do believe it’s the first time I can remember hearing drag race FX in a track.
