DJ Dealer recently relocated to our fair city and brought Look At You – undoubtedly one of the greatest underground labels in House Music today – in his carry-on bag. I want to say this song is a throwback, even though there’s not a hint of retro squeezed between the beats. In reality, this is one of the first tracks I’ve heard for awhile that’s unabashedly, shamelessly sexual – not love (okay, maybe love) but just body-to-body sex is at issue here, with all manner of hushed whispers but not (thankfully) the groans that Lil Louis could do in “French Kiss” and which every other producer that tries to make a sexy track inevitably copies. This is just straight-ahead groovin’ House – all three mixes are winners, so take your pick.
