Foliage routinely – almost casually, effortlessly – released soulful house tracks that were a cut above the rest and their return is heralded with this new burner. Pulse is an interesting collaboration spanning cultures, continents and (most divisive of all) scenes featuring the legendary DJ Fudge from France and South African vocalist Phil D. And apparently, they both live in Hong Kong now. “Willing To Go” is a love song, a ballad, and you can hear the Gainsborough influence in the chorus. The instrumental mix is surprisingly potent as well, featuring a trumpet by Kai Djuric.
