London Modular Alliances breezes through 30 years of techno, electro, IDM and breaks in about 5 minutes and 15 seconds on “Stray,” the title track of their forthcoming EP on Cultivated Electronics.
The vinyl release features four tracks told with pretty wide grasp of electronic sounds, but they all come together in “Stray.” It begins with sizzling electro percussion and stays rooted in it as sweeping waves from laser-like synths and gurgling spit from the backside of a water-damaged acid box.
London Modular Alliance is described here as “somewhere between a shop and a cult” and I can see why.
