Another goodtime EP from Melodymathics, this time building on their solid discography on wax. In the past the label has featured everyone from Terrence Parker to Dan Curtin. Here they’ve settled on some stylized disco and funky house jams from a selection of people with credible names on our end of the musical spectrum.
Demuir’s “Euphoria” leads off with a hard charging beat, a shoulder-rolling baseline and heavenly disco chorus. Stevie B‘s (aka Snazzy Trax) “Disco Loops” does what the label says. DJs will get a lot of mileage out of this, with the flip featuring three filtered disco tracks from The Organ Grinder, Melodymann and another track from Demuir called, uh, “C.U.N.T.B.O.Y.”
