Who are you and what have you done? Another beautiful anonymous slab of wax waiting to slip into your crate and intimidate all your other records with its fierceness.
I don’t know who made Apoji, I don’t know who pressed it, I don’t know who Paris Acid City is but they made a killer debut on Freesome Records, which is likewise a label I’ve never heard of before.
The Paradise Mix features a vocal out of nowhere that just makes this: everything drops out except that brilliant, resonant voice of God and a wave of synths before some jacking percussion kicks in. The bassline is ferocious, and more notable on the Dub Mix where it carries the tune. Not as squelchy as you’d think from the name but this is a killer release.
