Exurban Exile on UKR was the first I remember hearing from Ron S. For several months now I’ve been getting into his label Anode Records and this EP smacked me back.

Released around the time of Movement, the title track “Blackjack” hits about every high point you can name. Reminiscent of the dreamy aggression of latter-day Robert Hood, “Blackjack” is hypnotic in your earphones and devastating in effect – music that can pull people out of every dark eave and corner and make them move.
