Cajmere’s Funky Fresh for 5 – Volume Four

Time to get happy: this is the fourth installment of Cajmere’s Funky Fresh for 5, a monthly mix series from Chicago’s pride, Cajmere, appearing monthly exclusively for 5 Magazine.

Since we last checked in, Cajmere (Facebook, twitter, soundcloud) has continued his audio tour of the landmarks from Chicago’s dance music past. Following up on the White Label EP with Gene Farris, Cajual has released their latest collaboration, The Black Label EP, with two disco reboots dedicated to Chicago’s Candy Store and the Mars Bar. The Black Label EP is currently out now in promo release on Traxsource. Cajmere also does a live stream broadcast called Funky Fresh every Wednesday from noon to 3pm Chicago time on ustream.tv.
