Here in Chicago we’re quite fond of our Filipino community. And if you know where to venture (mainly on the northwest side), you’ll find tons of delicious Philippine restaurants and mini marts that abound. On Sunday October 4th, food website Filipino Kitchen will be launching its inaugural all ages Kultura Festival, a food and arts festival to be held at Logan Square’s Emporium Arcade Bar (2363 N Milwaukee Ave., Chicago) from 11am-6pm.

Coinciding with the start of Filipino American Heritage Month, it’s curated to appeal to those who closely identify with Filipino culture and for those who are just curious. The festival will showcase over a dozen Filipino American chefs, including Jess De Guzman of Sunda, Top Chef Alum Chrissy Camba of Maddy’s Dumpling House, Chef Joelen Tan-Kenny of What’s Cookin’, Chicago?, Chef Yana Gilbuena of the SALO Series and many more.

Confirmed musical acts for the event are Rice the Sound Transmitter, DJ Kristin and 5 Magazine’s own Czboogie (who happens to be half Filipina!)

Tickets can be purchased at https://ti.to/filipino-kitchen/kultura-festival.
