LCD Soundsystem’s reunion is picking up where they left off: with broken records and sold out shows. The united group’s three day stand in Chicago next week has sold out the venerable Aragon Ballroom, though it appears there MAY be some tickets remaining for the Wednesday November 8 date. Don’t blink.
However, Smartbar will open their doors for a rare Monday night to host an afterparty (an official one no less) following Monday’s LCD show. From 10pm to 4am, the “LCDJs” Al Doyle and old favorite Pat Mahoney will spinning sets; cover is $15 and this might be your last shot to jump in to some part of the LCD Soundsystem tour. You don’t have to deal with TicketMaster, either.
