5 Mag has always been a strong supporter of the House of Sol festival and this year that will not change. The homegrown music festival which has always boasted of booking 100% Chicago talent is going (mostly) online this year, as with (mostly) everyone else.
The festival takes place in Pilsen as part of the annual Fiesta Del Sol. This year’s headliners include Chicago DJs Garrett David, Traxman, Gene Farris, DJ Slugo, Kid Enigma (KE), Iz & Diz and Ron Carroll.
This year the festival will be broadcast on livestream on Facebook, Youtube and twitch.tv. The organizers are also offering a “VIP experience” with limited seating at Twisted Cantina. Tickets for the VIP experience are available at Eventbrite and proceeds will be donated “as scholarship funds for the House of Sol scholarship, part of the yearly scholarship program led by Fiesta Del Sol and the Pilsen Neighborhood Community Council.”
House of Sol starts Thursdsay, July 30 at 5pm and continues every day until Sunday night at 11pm on August 2, 2020. The daily line-up and set times are as follows:
