With the exception of a lost year in 2020, My House Music Festival has been consistently growing and getting bigger and bigger every year.
In 2021, the Chicago festival featuring house music, community art, kids activities and the city’s top food trucks with local neighborhood vendors is spilling over into two days in Harrison Park (1824 S. Wood St.) in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood.
Taking place on August 28 and 29, 2021 from noon to 10pm, My House Music Festival is “a two-day music experience and nonprofit organization commemorating the origins, growth and popularity of the House Music Movement.” This year’s festival boasts “two days of nonstop house music” by Chicago house stalwarts Felix Da Housecat and Mike Dunn, with Gettoblaster, Ron Trent, Colette, Joe Smooth, DJ Deeon, Czboogie, Ron Carroll and Flipside (full announced lineup below).
Now in its 5th year and presented by Re/Max Loyalty, My House Music Festival’s mission is to “raise awareness and resources for local charitable organizations through House Music.” Past beneficiaries include Sprouting Leaders, Yollocalli, Children’s Miracle Network, Union League Boys & Girls Clubs – Club One and the Chicago Park District.
General Admission tickets are $25 (free for children 12 and under) and are available at eventbrite.com.
