Friday the 13th will be an incredible day of music in LA. Not only will it be the label launch of Joshua Evangelista’s much awaited TonedDef Recordings at One666Hollywood, but there will also be quite the musical synergy with the lineup he has planned.
While the label itself was established in 2013, it was mainly operating in Asia, specifically in Josh’s hometown of Manila in the Philippines. Artists that have graced the label have been Scott Diaz, Ritchie Kidd, MoJazz, Chicago’s Chris Santiago, Rob Hayes, Josh himself, the Philippines’ diva Radha, and soon soulful House legend Richard Earnshaw.
We’ve written much about Richard in the past in 5 Mag, who has amassed a body of work that is unforgettably beautiful and enduring. It’s also quite unbelievable that the UK-bred has never been to the US yet. This will mark his first time, and what better time to do it than on his birthday as well.
Supporting him are the Groove Junkies’ Evan Landes, Adam Auburn, Josh and 5 Magazine’s Czboogie. This event will also launch what will be a series of monthly events for ToneDef, with the next one promising to have an equally stellar lineup beginning in July.

This event, presented by ToneDef Recordings in cooperation with 5 Magazine and Deep Disco Sound Systems, will be this Friday, May 13th 2016 at One666 Hollywood in Los Angeles. It goes from 9pm-2am, tickets are available at tonedefone.eventbrite.com
