5 Magazine and SmartBar Say Welcome Home, Mark Farina – December 27 2014

When you think about it, Mark Farina was probably the last DJ to become a well-known DJ by virtue of his DJing.

At a time when producers-learning-to-DJ have taken over bookings worldwide, Mark is still best remembered by the words “Mushroom Jazz”, one of the few recording artists whose compilations still move the needle with fans on account of his tremendous talent for tastemaking selections blended with technical acumen.

It’s the holidays in Chicago, when some of our heroes and our old friends come home. We saw Sneak and Colette over Thanksgiving and now 5 Magazine joins SmartBar in welcoming home Mark Farina on Saturday, December 27th with support from our own Czboogie and Rees Urban.
