One of Chicago’s most underrated residencies, Oktave brings in top-drawer Techno artists and gives them a chance to play the kind of long sets that everyone but twitchy promoters seems to prefer.
Two separate dates this month see Oktave resident Jeff Derringer playing alongside three artists who draw in practically the entire spectrum of Techno today – Regis (Feb 6), Chicago legend DJ Hyperactive (Feb 20), and, also on Feb 20, one of the cornerstones of Techno in New York City today, Anthony Parasole. Parasole’s label The Corner is one of the sickest outfits going, with a back catalog including tracks from like-minded artists Fred P, Marcel Dettmann and DJ Qu.
