We have a tradition of doing events around May Day weekend. We used to say “hooray hooray first of May, outdoor raving starts today!” From 1993-98 we set up a renegade sound system at the long running Mifflin Street Block Party in Madison. The very first Furthur in 1994 ended on May Day. A few of our early Kompound Weekenders included May Day. Last year, MAYDAY was our first event held at Castle Bass, making this year the second annual.
Lindsey Herbert was an integral part of San Francisco’s techno scene early in her career, while also gracing the stages of all the prominent LA promoters. We first heard about Lindsey after her appearances at The Great Beyond in 2021/22. In 2023 she was invited by Richie Hawtin to tour North America as part of his From Our Minds concept, a platform for new generational artists. Since then Lindsey has continued to rise with gigs all over the US and around the world. MAY DAY is her Wisconsin debut for the Midwest Hardcorps.
