The Italian duo VLTRA, Riccardo Anzalone and Samuele A. Giambona, began their musical journey influenced by the electronic sounds of leading artists like Avicii, Hardwell, and Tiësto. They later gravitated towards the underground “Techno” scene in their hometown of Palermo, but opted for a “house” and “tech-house” sound over pure techno.
In 2021, VLTRA’s track “Zilla,” released on Repopulate Mars in collaboration with Kyle Walker, reached #3 on the Beatport Overall chart. That same year, VLTRA released “Bananza (Belly Dancer),” which topped Beatport’s “Bass-House” chart. Since then they’ve collaborated with industry heavyweights like the Martinez Brothers and Loco Dice and had subsequent releases on John Summit’s Experts Only and Meduza’s AETERNA labels.
