All are welcome to an event honoring and celebrating the life of Mike Bledsoe, the Chicago based DJ and promoter who passed away last week.
Known for events in Chicago and San Francisco under the Housebroken brand, Bledsoe will be remembered at an event this Thursday October 30 2025 at InnJoy, where he held his long-running Thursday night Housebroken residency. Bledsoe passed away on October 20 2025.
InnJoy is located at 2051 W. Division Street. The event begins at 8:30pm and will feature music, a eulogy and stories shared about Bledsoe. Bledsoe was known for creating many opportunities for DJs at all levels of experience and stature, and many will be on hand to perform in his honor including Gabriel G, Branko, Pat, VJ, Czboogie, Rose Red, Jevon Jackson, Kevin Durkin and Chris Speck.

Born on February 22, 1978, Mike Bledsoe aka IAM1 first came on the scene as a teenager in the mid-1990s, throwing events in Indianapolis. He later relocated to Miami and then Chicago where he presented nightclub and afterhour events under the Housebroken moniker starting in 2014. He also acted as manager for several well-known Chicago artists, and was known for giving a number of performers their first break in a largely supportive atmosphere in Chicago and in San Francisco, where he held a biweekly event series at The EndUp.
Bledsoe was was 47 years old. He will be deeply missed.
