WNUR (89.3 FM) is introducing a new show in its Monday block of programming with an emphasis on classic House Music lore.

“Vintage House” is broadcast Mondays at 10pm on the Northwestern University station, first imagined by Lauren Lowery, Head Archivist of The Dance Music Research and Archiving Foundation, according to a release.

Curators Kirkland Townsend and Lori Branch were recruited for their expertise and connections to the music scene that brings incredible guests into the studio. With a handful of scheduled guest curators like Jere McAllister, Roy Davis and DJ Spank as well, the entirety of House Music’s history will be illuminated. Old friends of Kirk, Originators Jesse Saunders and Wayne Williams recently stopped in to share personal stories with him on June 29th as if they weren’t being broadcast to Chicago.

Vintage House is broadcast every Monday at 10pm on 89.3 FM in Chicago and at WNURStreetbeat.org.
