The One “O” Ones: Radio Cosmo Disco

Best Italy resurrects this irresistible disco curio from 1977 for one of the best reissues of the year, and one you didn't know you needed.

I’ve had my heart broken by so many comebacks and labels brought back from the brink. But Best Italy, the legendary imprint, is an unstoppable force. I’m serious. You probably didn’t know you wanted “Radio Cosmo 101.” You probably didn’t know that the original 7″ on Phantom from 1977 didn’t do it justice, and it needed a 12″ mix to really shine. Best knew. And all of those collectors who drove the price up to as much as $250 for an original pressing of this must be in a tizzy rageposting on discogs, because Best truly does these reissues justice. And speaking of which, discogs is still probably your best shot at getting a fresh copy, as the reissue is now out of stock too.

This is gorgeous – the full disco version fills out the room, especially with those celestial organ keys.
