The City of Chicago has announced the first part of the line-up for the 2023 Chicago House Music Festival, taking place on June 24 2023 from noon to 8pm.
The Chicago House Music Festival has in the past taken place over Memorial Day Weekened. Due to the NASCAR Chicago street race taking over Grant Park, this year’s House Music Festival has been moved to the Humboldt Park Boathouse lawn three weeks later.
The DJs include Roy Davis Jr, Psycho-B (we’re very sure that’s a bowdlerized name for Psycho-Bitch 😄 ) , Emmaculate, NoshaLuv and DJ V with more to be announced “in the coming weeks.”
The Chicago House Music Festival also includes an industry-centric conference, to be held June 23 at the Chicago Cultural Center.
Though not technically part of the festival, the release from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) also mentions “additional programming citywide throughout the weekend,” with local DJs spinning at Maxwell Street Market on June 25 from noon to 2pm.
The Chicago House Music Festival is a free event from the City of Chicago and Mayor’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events “celebrating the genre born in Chicago that has gone on to revolutionize dance music internationally.” More information is available at chicago.gov.
