We might start calling it “House Music Week” in Chicago as the city’s Chicago House Music Festival and Conference continues to expand. The four day event series has established a foothold in locations throughout the city, with DJ sets, panels, classes and more, with quality programming across four days.

The 2026 edition of the Chicago House Music Festival returns August 27 through August 30 2026 and the full line-up and schedule of events just dropped now. There’s a LOT of it, more than ever before, which you can find at the end of this post. But here are some highlights from all four days of events:

The House Dance Summit Returns: The Chicago House Dance Summit takes place on Thursday August 27 from 4:30pm to 9:30pm and noon to 5pm on Friday August 28th at the Chicago Cultural Center,

The Chicago House Music Conference Panels Are Pretty Dope: The conference is, like the rest of the events, free and open to the public. The conference starts at 5:30pm at the Chicago Cultural Center on Thursday August 27 2026. In addition to the common career-building talks, the panels include one on “Distribution, Publishing & Vinyl Culture,” the impact of AI on the industry and “Jack Your Body, Don’t Get Jacked,” a “hands-on workshop” to help artists build financial security through publishing, financial literacy, royalty management and so on.

Four Stages in Millennium Park: The main event takes place on Saturday August 29 from 1pm to 9pm in Millennium Park. This year’s lineup features — in absolutely no particular order — Roy Davis Jr, “Maurice Joshua and Friends,” Chip E., Sundance, E-Smoove, Darryn Jones, DJ Heather, K’Alexi Shelby, Emmaculate, Melvin Meeks, Yanna Lynette, DJ Nehpets, Diz, Michael Serafini, Karl Almaria, Jillian X, Aaron Antoniou, Uncle Milty, J.Star, and even more. Wind Down With House on the Riverwalk: Sunday is for chilling and The Confluence is the scene for the Wind Down, featuring Sandra Suave, El Caveman, Lee Farmer and a Chicago house legend in the person of Mark Grant closing out the entire weekend.

Chicago House Dance Summit

The House Dance Summit begins Thursday evening with a lineup celebrating the artistry, history and evolution of House dance. The program opens with a DJ set, followed by a family-friendly House dance class featuring live music, a documentary screening and conversation with filmmaker Dr. ShaDawn Battle, and an intergenerational panel featuring House dance pioneers and cultural leaders reflecting on the culture’s legacy and future. The evening concludes with the qualifying rounds of the House dance tournament, where dancers will compete for a spot in Saturday’s finals in front of a live audience and panel of renowned judges.
