DJs, if you’re looking for a pair of high-end, jazz flavored, late night, soulful 4/4 tracks that s-t-r-e-t-c-h out in long, looping grooves, then Infinite Salutations from Coflo and Emmaculate could be for you. The A side track “Salutations” featuring QVLN is soulful house at its very best, packed with jazzy touches, improvised solos, funky vamps, uplifting vocal refrains, and rich and superbly played live instrumentation including horns, keys, organs, oboe, guitar, congas, bongos, timbales and even some strings, a track that expertly crosses from soulful house into jazz funk and back again.
“Infinite” meanwhile is an elongated, loft-style, robot-disco spiritual 4/4 jam, its sound-field filled with synthesized bass, arpeggios and pads rather than live instrumentation. Both tracks are nine minutes-plus; lengthy, immersive spacey excursions, both really well put together, and both ideal — and highly musical — dancefloor material.
