Dubbed “Chicago’s Most Iconic Street Fest,” the 2019 edition of the Taste of Randolph Street takes place starting this Friday, with a plethora of DJs and live acts stretching across the weekend in Chicago’s West Loop.
Now celebrating its 23rd anniversary, Star Events and the West Loop Community Organization bring together offerings from more than 16 restaurants and music across two stages and a DJ stage, the latter of which concerns us here.
The DJ selections present an alluring blend of Chicago veterans and up-and-coming talent, including Ron Trent (closing Saturday night), legendary live house band Mr. ALI (closing Sunday), our sisters Psycho-Bitch and Teri Bristol, the Chosen Few’s Alan King, Emmaculate, 5 Mag’s Czboogie, Duane Powell, Sean Alvarez and more.
In addition, Holy Ghost! will be performing Friday night at 9pm on the East Stage – and has promised a disco set in response to the White Sox’s tonedeaf commemoration of Disco Demolition Night.
