On Friday, February 9 2018 Fred P (Black Jazz Consortium) will be making his Chicago debut at Smartbar alongside Queen resident Michael Serafini and Manifest residents Zooey Glass and Dagō.

Manifest, the Chicago collective with an altruistic heart has hosted a number of events at places such as Smartbar, Spybar and the Old Town School of Folk Music. It has showcased artists such as Kate Simko & London London Electronic Orchestra, Justin Cudmore, Molly, Etapp Kyle and many more.

With a philosophy that “seeks to inspire civic consciousness through interdisciplinary artistic expression,” member Jo Brandt explains that with each show they partner up with a non-profit organization in order to highlight their work as well as fundraising for them. For this particular event they are teaming up with the second iteration of their “Bring Down the Walls” discussion series. The talk will feature their headliner Fred P discussing his much lauded area in house music and will be hosted by Hieroglyphic Being at the Chicago Phonic space at 1722 N. Western Avenue. The event is free but must have a confirmed RSVP.
