There’s been much buzz about Movement 2017. The much beloved Detroit music festival is coming upon us this Memorial Day weekend, with Techno and House music being the backbone. This year’s Movement festival features 6 stages made up of the Main Stage, Resident Advisor Underground Stage, the Red Bull Academy Stage, the Thump sponsored Stargate Stage, the Pyramid Stage and the always stellar Made in Detroit Stage.
Some of the acts will be the Belleville Three, Kerri Chandler, Cajmere, Josh Wink, Barclay Crenshaw, Larry Heard, Octave One, Robert Hood, Kai Alce, Seth Troxler, Stacy Pullen and Soul Clap featuring Amp Fiddler.
Over 100 artists are featured at Movement for 2017, more than 100,000 people attend and there will be many afterparties to choose from beginning as early as the Friday evening leading to the fest.
Movement 2017 is happening on the weekend of May 27th-29th, 2017 at Hart Plaza in Detroit. The hours are 12pm-2am on Saturday and 1pm-12am on Sunday and Monday. The festival is all ages, and children 12 years and under get free admission when accompanied by a parent.
