It would be safe to say almost every local House DJ in Chicago has blessed the decks at this party. After 7 solid years of doing Open House Mondays at Wicker Park’s Crocodile Lounge, Resident DJ and tastemaker Blake Walker has now found a new home for his party. Beginning Jan. 25th, Open House will now move not far down the street to Evil Olive at 1551 W. Division Street.

In the last 6 months or so the weekday House nights in the northside of Chicago have been slowly falling off, until everyone noticed there wasn’t anywhere to go most of the week! Hump day has traditionally been a great night to throw a party, so to add to the good news of the new night, it also has the added benefit of having a 4am license for those that like to do the late late thing.

Aside from Blake, Open House regulars that can be heard will be Kris Anderson of South of Roosevelt, Sam Tyler, Frankie Naples, David Storm Ruffin and Mike Bledsoe. Opening night will be Wednesday, January 25th with special guests Frique and Russoul.

To stay in the loop with the upcoming guests of this party, make sure to follow them on their Facebook page.
