Following the cancellation of Ultra Music Festival and SXSW and the lockdown of the entire country of Italy effective tomorrow, the organizers behind Winter Music Conference have announced the cancellation of this year’s event.
“Due to the Florida Governor’s declaration of a public health emergency and the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention’s Interim Guidance for COVID-19,” a release from the conference organizers reads, “the 35th edition of the Winter Music Conference, originally scheduled for March 16 – 19, 2020, will be rescheduled.”
The Winter Music Conference was purchased by Ultra in 2018 after concern about the future of what was once the central focus of Miami Music Week. The announcement reflects Ultra’s earlier official statement in content and form. Ultra’s announcement
