Cross another great unreleased track off the great unreleased tracklist. Smile & Wave is a new and to all appearances a single purpose label charged with dropping one side of deep soul and a B-side of jacking acid to the masses. Both of these were in the hands of some popular DJs that released mixes featuring the tracks in early 2017 (and maybe earlier); at least the first side and probably both are by a pretty well-known DJ/producer whose stuff has been warmly received by 5 Mag in the past.
“Another Love Another Happiness” is a killer track, the title revealing in its wry way the source of its inspiration. As far as latter day resurrections go, this sounds like Kentucky bourbon tastes: smooth, in a way that burns. The track smolders, white hot heat held back to burn brighter. This should be a showpiece of many sets throughout the fall and winter.
