I’m just here, adding this one to your shopping list. You’ve got milk, you’ve got eggs, you’ve got your pop-tarts and bread and now you’ve got this one, because you need this one. Frankie Knuckles’ remix of Lou Rawls “You’ll Never Find Another Love Like Mine” became a thing of fable when he played it in a Boiler Room set. For years, fans would hijack any news about a new Frankie Knuckles record project by imploring to know when this would be released.
Back in October, it finally was – on a Good For You Records compilation called Paradise Garage: Inspirations. It featured a combustible mix of tracks but this one obviously stole the show. The “unreleased anthem” mixed by Kenny Summit, Frankie Knuckles and Eric Kupper now finds new life via Prime Direct as a sampler pressed on 12″, fully licensed by everyone with an interest in the project.
On the flipside is “Loving You” featuring Yasmeen which is on par with the smooth and precise sound of Frankie’s later productions.
