Hanna Hais delves as deep as she’s ever gone into Afro-House on “PSCC,” her new single from Atal. Drawing on a deep reservoir of soul, it’s in fairly expert hands by this point – a rollicking rhythm rolls from the cue as subtle, tasty synths fade in and waver, trembling like a distant vision through a hundred kilometers of humid air. There’s a tribal stomp to this that keeps it interesting.
On the remix is Rochdee (a name I haven’t heard in 10 or 15 years, though I’m not sure if it’s the same one) who stabs at the beating heart of “PSCC” with an electrified current, pushing it into an Afro/Soulful/Electro intersection. Nice track made for dancefloors and moody nights.
