Two gorgeous remixes of Jennifer Vanilla’s “Jennifer Pastoral” that grab you by the scruff and shake you about a bit to anoint you for a journey to heaven.

Love Injection’s record label hits its stride on this 12″ of dazzling lights and sounds. The original track appeared on Jennifer Vanilla’s album Castle In The Sky and is rubbed up here by the people whose shingle hangs above the door. The “Earthly Mix” is wickedly seductive, steeped in slow waving synths and percussion that races ahead of you. There’s a sense of delighted exhaustion — a dizzy satori that comes from having exerted yourself to your absolute limits and find yourself still thirsty for more. This is the “more.”

In a way, the Earthly Mix is just an extended set-up for a blissful payoff in the form of the “Celestial Mix,” a radiant explosion of soothing vibes with just a hint of percussion gently swaying in the mix. I don’t know what to do with this except to put it on and place a set of cans on your ears to make you listen.
