Roller Coaster is his sixth release since February and every single one of them has revealed something new, something fresh and something wonderful from his cache of music from the endtimes. “Laguna Hills” and “Roller Coaster” feel interconnected, like set pieces of the same form – buoyantly uptempo and optimistic little talismans of a neon age. “Passionate Powers” is the jam here, though: a vibrating bassline holding steady amid sweeping synths and piercing lasers. This is the soundtrack for someone’s last night on Planet Earth.
