Elegant but stirring deep house from The Aquatic People, a producer I’ve never heard of before but who released several records in this vein starting in the last year or so. They’re deep, they’re dubby, they have a strong affinity for jazz and keys that glisten like Tiffany diamonds.
“Black Note Rhythm” is the hotness here, a deep dubby flex, 7 minutes of bumpin’ rhythm with organs rolling around like quicksilver over Oberheim OBX-style chords. There’s a “rework” which is a minute longer and about 1000 feet deeper.
