Get ready: MJ Cole is coming back to Chicago.
The world renown UK Garage and House Music producer, DJ, writer and remixer will be making a VERY rare and special appearance on Saturday, July 16 2016 at Chicago’s Vertigo Sky Lounge. And we’re thrilled.
Vertigo Sky Lounge features an outdoor deck and we’ll be taking full advantage for an evening soiree under the beautiful downtown Chicago sky from 6pm to midnight.
MJ Cole actually appeared here for a brief Wednesday night gig at Studio Paris last year. It was in the midst of these back-to-back weekend Stateside gigs that 5 Mag had the chance to interview him for our April 2015 cover story.
But now the UK-based DJ is back for his second go-around, and this time at a proper venue and before a proper audience.
Joining MJ Cole will be a legend in his own right: the Chicago House producer that created one of the most seminal UK Garage tracks ever. We’re speaking, of course, of Roy Davis Jr and his classic track “Gabriel.” And joining MJ and Roy to round out the evening is 5 Magazine’s Czboogie and DJ Sushi.
