Desperate to take over a corner of your workbench, Latvian hardware manufacturer Erica Synths has developed Nightverb, a powerful hardware reverb effects unit compressed down to a small, boxy 9” x 6” shape.
Nightverb was made for creating very long and complex delays without losing harmonic integrity. The twelve parameters can all be adjusted at once, meaning that notes can be played “individually and held in chords, pitch-shifted at a whim or used to create massive, ambient textures,” according to Erica.
Nightverb’s unique algorithm was developed by Dutch plug-in developer 112dB, which has been producing software VSTs since 2005 — you might know them from their Mikron, Big Blue and Redline lines.
All 12 parameters are MIDI CC controllable and Nightverb allows for two-way MIDI communication. There are save and recall functions for each of them, and Nightverb comes with 30 factory presets to get you started and 70 slots for saving new ones. Presets can be exported via USB.
Nightverb is shipping now and costs €490 (about $550).
