After nearly four years in the South Loop, Bang Sundays is on the move.

Terry Hunter’s long-running Sunday night residency has moved to the north side of the city. Formerly based at The Shrine in the South Loop, Bang is now in residence at Dolphin at 2200 N. Ashland.

Dolphin boasts overs 4000 square feet for its dancefloor. It’s also open until 4am, two hours later than The Shrine. The DJs (Terry Hunter, Greg Winfield and guests) and promoters remain the same.

“The concept behind Bang is to elevate,” promoter Reggie Corner told us. “After four years, it was time to make a move. The new venue is bigger, it has longer hours, and it’s more centrally located. We feel like with Dolphin, it’s a venue where we can continue to expand.”

Corner describes the crowd the first few weeks at Dolphin as “pretty solid. We had a very diverse audience.”

Bang will be celebrating its fourth anniversary in December.
