Vocalist Danielle Moore of Crazy P has died, according to a post by the UK house music group. She was 52 years old.

“We are devastated to announce the unbelievable and shocking news that our beautiful Danielle Moore has died in sudden and tragic circumstances,” the group wrote in a statement on the @crazypmusic Instagram page.

“This happened on Friday afternoon August 30th. We cannot believe the news ourselves and we know it will be the same for all of you. She gave us so much and we love her so much. Our hearts are broken. We need time to process that this has happened.

“Danielle lived a life driven by love compassion community and music. She lived the biggest of lives. We will miss her with all our hearts X”

Moore grew up near Manchester. Crazy P (originally Crazy Penis) was formed in the mid-’90s by Chris Todd (Hot Toddy) and Jim Baron (Ron Basejam and JIM); Moore joined in 2002 and the band would release seven studio albums, a live album (2012’s When We Live) and two remix albums.
